How can coding benefit my child’s future?

Coding helps children develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills. It also prepares them for future careers in tech, a field that is increasingly in demand. Learning to code at a young age gives them a head start in understanding the digital world.

Is my child too young (or old) to code?

Our coders start as early as the age of 6 years old. We have experience in teaching kids from 6 to 16 years of age and our large course library has something for absolutely everyone's tastes and interests. From video game coding to website design and graphic creation!

How do online courses work?

Geeky Kids classes are virtual and LIVE through Zoom. Our teachers will walk your child through the course content while following them through every step of the way with the ability to see their screen the entire time with instant feedback and assistance. For more information click HERE!

How long have we been around for?

Established in May 2016, Geeky Kids initially operated as a face-to-face coding course provider across multiple centres in London. However, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we transitioned to offering our courses online.

What equipment is required for Geeky Kids online courses?

For your child to participate in our online coding classes, they'll need:

A computer with a keyboard and mouse
Headphones with a microphone
A stable internet connection
An optional (but highly recommended) webcam.

Are our teachers DBS checked?

All of our tutors go through thorough DBS checks and all have years of experience with kids and education!

Do we take childcare vouchers?

We currently aren't taking child care vouchers however we are working on making them redeemable for our courses soon.

When will we resume face-to-face courses?

Following our transition to online courses during the COVID-19 outbreak, we've chosen to maintain our online offerings given the positive feedback and current circumstances. However, we are actively conducting face-to-face sessions in schools, and there's potential for broader in-person classes in the future.

How do online classes work at Geeky Kids?

Our online classes are conducted via interactive platforms that allow students to participate in live sessions, complete hands-on projects, and receive real-time feedback from instructors. Classes are scheduled at convenient times to fit around your child’s school commitments.

What programming languages do your courses cover?

Geeky Kids offers courses in popular programming languages like Python, LUA, Java, JavaScript, Scratch, and HTML/CSS. Our curriculum is designed to introduce kids to the fundamentals of coding while also providing opportunities to explore more advanced topics.

Are your instructors qualified?

Absolutely! All Geeky Kids instructors are experienced professionals in the field of technology and education. They are passionate about teaching and are dedicated to making coding accessible and enjoyable for children.
